COMPANY SUMMARY:

TyBot, LLC manufacturers and deploys a lease fleet of autonomous rebar-tying robots that can augment and reduce labor need in the most critical path activity of bridge deck construction.  Our robot identifies & ties rebar intersections while a Quality Control Technician monitors its operations. 

Summary:

To strengthen our ever growing team, TyBot is currently seeking Quality Control Technicians who are searching for an exciting career in the robotics industry.  The candidate must be an energetic person who possesses both assembly and industrial mechanics skills and experience.  The candidate will transport the robot to job sites and monitor robot operations on bridge construction job sites.   This position will involve travel up to 75% of the time. When not at job sites, the candidate will assist in building robots as part of the manufacturing team. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the operation of our autonomous rebar-tying robot while providing the proper quality assurance as the robot completes jobs
  • Comfortable driving a pickup truck that would be towing a 37 foot trailer to and from job sites
  • Setting up and breaking down of the robot at the job site
  • Monitoring the robot at the job site while it does its job; this could range from a few days to a few weeks in length
  • Must be willing to cross train in all other areas of production and assembly.
  • Production related tasks of sub-assemblies and assemblies to construct a robot
  • Wiring and assembling electrical panels
  • Assembling cable harnesses from drawings, including correct cable lengths, crimping and terminating connectors
  • Installing finished wire harnesses into a sub-assembly / assembly
  • Testing of panels and connectors by checking continuity from schematics and following documented test procedures
  • Assisting with maintaining of parts inventory: stocking, receiving, documenting, maintaining of work stations
  • Repairing & reworking of finished material according to engineering changes

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience
  • 1-2 years of electrical harness/panel assembly experience
  • Experience on construction sites a plus but not required
  • CDL or truck/trailer driving a plus but not required
  • Basic computer skills
    • Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Navigate and use inventory and parts management systems
    • Locate and view engineering drawings
  • Ability to communicate with managers and other team members
  • Must have great attention to detail
  • Possess the ability to recognize problems and create and present solutions
  • Preparing production reports along with other reports as needed

Work Environment:

  • Works indoors/outdoors.
  • Environment can be dirty and noisy.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting up to 50 LBS.
  • Stands frequently and walks about the work areas
  • Occasionally stretches up and across when completing daily tasks
  • Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally.
  • Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally.
  • Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items used daily
  • Contact with skin irritants or water may occur during certain processes
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements are required when operating machinery.
  • The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
    • Associates degree or trade school certificate preferred

Pay & Benefits:

When not deployed and working in production, the hourly wage is $22/hour once fully trained.

When deployed, the pay rate will change to reflect deployment bonuses. The deployment bonus is determined by the characteristics of each unique field assignment.
